Online newspaper elfaro wanted me to adapt some long format investigation pieces into a condensed animated video for social media. I took the core of the articles, wrote the script, recorded the audio and did the motion graphics. The video allowed the investigation to reach a far broader audience.
This video piece was created from snippets of interviews initially planned for transcription. I edited the recordings and the images to create a complimentary piece for the article

I’ve continued to collaborate with El Faro in order to fill occasional needs. They’re articles are very thorough, robust and sometimes technical due to the sensitivity of the subjects they address. This can sometimes be alienating to casual readers, which is why I did infographics that summarized the core of the article to allow for a wider reach.
